July Distribution

July 24, 2013

Distribution for the Food Pantry will be this Saturday, July 27th starting at 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Come join us as we feed our neighbors who need our help! If you can be there at 7:45 to help that would be great!

PLEASE NOTE:
This will be a very, busy Saturday for us as this month is the “new fiscal year – July to June” where our recipients have to re-register. All of those who did not come to the special recertification day that we held this month will have to re-register on Saturday. We will definitely need our volunteers to help with this! Thank you in advance for all you do to make this possible!

We will have our annual “Recertification Day” on Wednesday, July 10th from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. If you would like to volunteer to help take applications for all of our recipients, please let us know.

June Update

Hello Grenada Food Pantry volunteers and supporters,
Please see the info below. This will be a benefit 5k run on August 10th starting from Perry Creek Golf & Racquet Club – and one of the charity’s chosen is the Grenada Food Pantry. Runners/walkers will have the option to vote for a charity of their choice. The Food Pantry will receive a donation based on those votes. Please consider a sponsorship and/or running or walking at this event. And – if you don’t run or walk, Judith has also asked for volunteers to hand out water along the route and those volunteers can also campaign for votes for the Grenada Food Pantry!! Race Info:
Grenada Pacers and our office is helping host the 5K Run/walk on August 10, 2013 at Perry Creek Golf and Racquet Club here in Grenada. This event is to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Center, Grenada Junior Auxiliary, Grenada Food Pantry, and St. Nicholas Treasure Chest in Grenada. The sponsorship is $150.00 and comes with the sign up of 2 runners or walkers any additional runners or walkers are $20.00 each. If you choose to do a sponsorship after that is paid someone in my office will contact you and get the info on the 2 runners or walkers. We are still working on the participant bags and if you or your company has items that you would like to put in those bags we are planning on preparing at least 200.
We would appreciate your sponsorship of this event and would love to have you and your family participate. There is going to be entertainment after the run/walk as well as food and beverage. You can also sign up at racesonline.com.
We have to get the shirts put together for the sponsors so please let us know about that a.s.a.p. deadline to be printed on the shirt is July 29, 2013. Please make checks payable to Grenada Pacers. If you choose to sponsor you can simply mail the check to my office or call the office and someone will pick it up.
Rusty has participated in these type events and they are just a fun time for all. Please help us support these worthy causes and have some fun.
