March Distribution
The Food Pantry WILL have distribution this Saturday from 8:00 until 10:00. We will pack the groceries on Thursday starting at 9:00 a.m.I am pasting below the notification that is on Facebook for all of you to see. This distribution will be limited face to face with our recipients as they are ALL to drive around the block and be served. We will put groceries in the trunk and attempt to have little or no contact with them. A large percentage of our recipients are elderly! As far as our volunteers go, we will only allow a certain number of people to go inside the pantry and bring out the bags of food and the frozen meat. The rest of the volunteers will assist in getting the items in the car and some of us are going to attempt to write down names. This is going to be challenging BUT, there are so many who have lost jobs and can’t afford to go buy groceries. My email and phone have blown up this week from those in dire need. I know some of you in this contact list are recipients so I ask that you be patient with us as this is going to take a while. I also ask that all of you pray for us that God will place a hedge of protection around those of us serving. We are doing our best to get masks and gloves for everyone there working. Thanks to all of you!! Again, as stated below, if you are sick, stay home please!!! We also just found out that due to computer issues, the announcement will not be in today’s paper so please help us spread the word!Kim McRee 662-417-6210Pat Havens 404-435-1290
