March Update

Distribution for the Grenada Food Pantry will be this Saturday, March 26th from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30. Bagging will be the 24th, starting at 9:00 a.m. We hope you will come join us as we serve the needy in Grenada County!!

We are sure that you have seen the news lately about our financial condition. Our largest funding source has been a grant from the Emergency Food and Shelter Program. As yet, the program has not received an appropriation from Congress for 2011 since no budget has been set for the year. Our other funding comes from local contributions and they have decreased with the economic downturn. We have faith that we will make it through this and we will be able to continue helping those in Grenada who depend on us. If you are looking to do any fundraisers in whatever groups you belong to, we would appreciate your consideration.
