The Grenada Food Pantry needs your help!
One of our main funding sources has been a grant from the Emergency Food and Shelter Program. As yet, the program has not received an appropriation from Congress for 2011. Our other funding comes from local contributions and they have really fallen off with the bad economy. Therefore, funds are really low at the Food Pantry. The Grenada Food Pantry is a 501(c)3 charitable organization so all donations are tax deductible. Holiday Update
JUNE UPDATE
Our first distribution from the new location was truly a success last month. We are very pleased with the traffic flow outside and the people flow inside. Again, we thank the City Council of Grenada for allowing us to use this space. Also – many thanks to the groups from REGIONS BANK who gave of their time last month to help with bagging and distribution and also had a food drive for us!!! If you know of anyone willing to hold a food drive, please let us know.
Distribution for June will be next Saturday, June 26th from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the new location downtown next to the Police Department. For those who can help with bagging – come on Thursday, the 24th from 9:00 a.m. until complete.

New Food Pantry Distribution Facility
We are happy to announce that The Grenada Food Pantry will be operating out of the NEW FACILITY for the next food distribution. The new site is located between the Police Department and the City Auditorium. There are signs being painted by the local Americorp volunteers to be placed above the entry doors to help you locate the new facility.
**Bagging at the new location will take place on 05/20/10 at 9:00 a.m.
**Distribution at the new location will take place on 05/22/10
IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT DISTRIBUTION AT THE NEW LOCATION
*Non-Disabled recipients who are not confined to their vehicles will enter on the Main Street entrance
*Disabled recipients will pick up on the Green Street side of the building
